Free music festival in NYC

Just found out about this free festival that the Village Voice puts on in Brooklyn. Seems as though they have been doing it for a while, wonder why I haven’t heard of it before. The line-up looks pretty good and you couldn’t ask for a better price.

Seven Days has a cool feature on Barre Pinske/Pinsky (they spell it two ways) and his chainsaw over in Chester Vermont.
I’ve always found chainsaw art to be one of the ultimate ironic statements. Using such a destructive, obnoxious tool to craft such original, creative art isn’t something you see everyday.
